Hello, my name is Jamie Rushad Gros. I would like to take a moment to introduce myself and the brand our team has been building, Field Theory Lab.
In my professional career I have had opportunities to work with brilliant individuals (you know who you are) and companies who have helped me learn and utilize crucial skills within the digital marketing, creative and technology. In this time, I have worked on complex website applications elbow-to-elbow with some of the best project managers, developers, designers, strategists, analysts and other supreme-beings within the creative and technology fields. I’ve been exposed to and utilized powerful and cutting-edge technology; through programming in various languages and harnessing many different frameworks to helping increase digital communication and user experiences through implementation of software and tools.
The past decade has been an education worth more than my weight multiplied by the current cost of gasoline (we don’t need the details, it’s a lot). Along the way, I have met some individuals with similar stories and expertise in the space and together we’re building this new venture.
Today, I am excited to announce our brand, Field Theory Lab. Field Theory is your digital and data partner.
We focus on four main areas of service:
1.
We help brands create better, more user-friendly digital experiences
This includes custom website application development, usability design that centers around human-interaction and implementation of software like content management systems and ecommerce software, as examples. We’ve built a small team of local developer and experts and have partnered with V2 Web Solutions to provide custom website design and development. We can scale to most requirements and remain flexible in progamming languages and platforms.
2.
We provide rich data analysis, visualization and reporting
This includes custom reports of technology or marketing initiatives on a one-time, monthly, quarterly or annual basis. Our expertise allows us to gain a fuller picture of your brand’s digital landscape. More than often data will be release in small “snackable” bites in the form of datums within our Field Observations blog.
3.
We develop creative solutions and offer software as a service
Our research and technology-focus has allowed us to deliver A.I.-powered software to help specific clients. This allows us to not only utilize cutting-edge technologies but offer them directly to our clients. Currently in development is our own analytics software, A.N.N.A., with more SaaS products planned in our roadmap.
4.
We educate and advocate digital citizenship and the responsible use of the internet
Digital citizenship refers to the responsible use of technology by anyone who uses computers, the Internet, and digital devices to engage with society on any level. We believe that when the internet and digitally-connected devices are used responsibly with human-interaction in mind, we create an improved experience for all users and we meet our goals as brands.
A few questions you may be asking yourself:
Why are we focused on Digital Citizenship and human-centered usability design?
The United Nations Digital mission sums up exactly what we’re aiming for as a business. The U.N. Digital’s mission is as follows, “Creating a world in which digital is an empowering force for people and planet.” and it’s something that we’re reaching for within each one of our service offerings. We truly believe that digital access and responsible use will improve lives. Connecting services with individuals and doing so with trust-first and a deep focus on interaction is important for the betterment of our online lives.

Albuquerque, New Mexico — Field Theory Lab, a data and digital startup based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, launched this week with a goal to help brands improve their digital experiences while connecting with consumers in memorable, authentic and responsible ways.
The company is led by Jamie Rushad Gros, an Albuquerque-native who has more than 20 years of experience building websites for regional and national brands and exploring the frontier of digital experiences. Field Theory Lab is designed to help clients with website development needs, as well as to improve access to data visualization and artificial intelligence tools for local businesses, giving them an advantage in a rapidly changing digital landscape.
Field Theory Lab is launching in partnership with Esparza Digital + Advertising, an Albuquerque-based advertising agency with more than 20 years of experience in the New Mexico market.
The idea for the company came about in 2020, when digital transformation and acceptance accelerated overnight because of Covid-19. Jamie, then President of Esparza Digital + Advertising, worked alongside Del Esparza, the agency’s owner and CEO, to help clients navigate marketing during a pandemic. “A lot of fear and anxiety crept in, and not just with clients and consumers, but also with our team,” says Jamie. “Because the pandemic shifted behaviors so dramatically, we had only one thing to take comfort in—the data.”
Throughout 2020 and 2021, Jamie and the team at Esparza dug deep into the data to identify shifts in online behavior, from macro trends, like social media and search engine usage, to smaller changes, like how users were filling out account signup forms or navigating websites. By combining data science and behavioral science insights, the team was able to shift marketing strategies to meet rapidly changing consumer mindsets and behaviors.
Field Theory Lab was born out of Jamie’s recognition that the need for data science and behavioral science in marketing was only going to increase as consumers live more of their lives online. The company is guided by his steadfast belief that all digital experiences should be transparent and authentic, and that this will become more complex for companies to navigate responsibly in a Web 3.0 world.
Field Theory will be focused on adding additional services to Esparza Digital + Advertising’s client-focused offering. Alongside digital marketing and advertising, clients can expect additional services in data visualization, usability, analytics, reporting and custom software development.
